Hazel Keech, wife of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, recently revealed her postpartum hair loss journey on Instagram. She addressed a common experience among new mothers and shared her decision to donate her hair for making wigs for children who have survived cancer.
Ms. Keech humorously described the challenges that new mothers face, noting the irony of crying or diaper incidents precisely when a moment of bathroom peace is achieved. She mentioned how postpartum hair loss is something she hadn’t fully grasped until she experienced it herself.
Her motivation to contribute to making wigs for cancer patients was inspired by her husband, Yuvraj Singh, who had undergone cancer treatment. She learned from him how emotionally impactful it is to lose hair during chemotherapy.
She expressed her commitment to this cause by donating her hair to a UK-based trust called ‘The Little Princess Trust.’ Ms. Keech highlighted the significance of such contributions, noting that the long, beautiful hair she once saw in a salon could bring a ray of hope into someone’s life.
